Orthodontic Imaging

At Orange County Pediatric Dental Group, we offer the convenience of in-office orthodontic records. 

Our office provides patients with high-quality orthodontic records and using our state-of the art panoramic and cephalometric (pan/ceph) digital x-ray machine. 

Our pan/ceph unit helps minimize radiation to our patients with its direct to digital technology. It further reduces radiation by sensing the size of the patient and adjusting the radiation dose accordingly, decreasing the chance of unnecessary exposure to radiation.

Our staff is skilled at taking orthodontic study models with our iTero machine.

Many parents remember the wet impressions taken when they had braces as a child or teen. They are surprised at how quickly the iTero unit takes the digital impressions. Parents enjoy watching the software build the model on the screen and patients are often surprised at seeing what their teeth look like on the screen when the scan is completed. 

A picture is worth a thousand words and our staff takes outstanding before-and-after photos for each patient's orthodontic records.

We believe that the end product of orthodontics should achieve harmony between straight teeth and a pleasing face. We take photos of the teeth, profile photos, and photos of photos of our patients with different facial expressions. We believe in a "big picture" approach to orthodontics, focusing on more than just straightening the teeth. 

We use Dolphin orthodontic imaging software to provide a comprehensive and accurate orthodontic analysis for our patients. 

Dolphin has been a leader in orthodontic imaging software for over 30 years. Many orthodontic labs use Dolphin imaging software. We have found that incorporating this software has improved the appearance of our case presentations.
